I love eating Chinese food. My favorite part of going out for a Chinese dinner is when they bring out the fortune cookies. Tonight was slightly confusing though. I crumbled open the crisp cookie shell and pulled out the little strip of paper to find it asking me what is the best steam iron to use if you live in a small apartment. I don’t do the ironing in my household, but it certainly made me think! I think if one does live in a small apartment, there probably wouldn’t be room for an ironing board, let alone a steam iron. However, a vertical steam iron would solve that issue.

I was visiting with a friend of mine in a piano bar the other night, we were catching up on old times and reminiscing. She was telling me how she adored the new band she is currently singing with. She sings backup vocals and has always had a relatively high pitched voice, the band leader asked her if she can learn how to sing deep. Apparently he is writing a few songs that require the woman’s backup vocals to be a little deeper. She agreed to try and he has been helping her to reach her lower range. It is still a challenge for her, but she is getting more comfortable singing lower.

I went to sleep last night and it was the best night of sleep ever. I’m serious when I say that I dreamed and dreamed and didn’t even stir and that is saying a lot because I live by a train station. So you can imagine that I must be loving my bed memory foam mattress. It was worth every penny and I’m glad I tossed that old serta one out the door because it was hardly doing it’s job and I was losing sleep over it. Why oh why is that the case? But anyway I need a pillow now for it.

I’m a regular volunteer at the Food Bank. I don’t do it for the very rare perks or anything, mainly because we couldn’t use them. I heard about one today that my daughter would absolutely love. I was answering the phones today while the usual girl went to lunch and someone from Disney World called to tell us about their latest promotion. They are giving free Disney World admission for volunteers. Of course there are some requirements you have to meet, but all in all this is a good thing. Its not limited to food banks either, organizations all over that need volunteers are likely to get some now. All thanks to Disney.

Everybody is unique and many have various music tastes that might surprise  those who know them well. This is why when it comes to selecting ringtones it is best to consult the person the ringtone is assigned to. Imagine how embarrassing it would be to assign a ringtone to somebody and then have them hear it and be disappointed. This is an idea for at least those who are closest to you. Be careful about choosing one that you might not want everybody to hear. You just never know where you might be when it starts playing. Be cautious and have great fun selecting those awesome tunes

When I was a kid, my family had health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Now that I’m an adult and on my own, I have to find out for myself where I would like to get insurance.  There a lot of factors that play into this decision, including cost, do I want just health insurance?

Do I want dental insurance too?  What does just the minimum cost health plan include?  Fortunately, there are some companies out there that may be able to do a dental plan apart from any other plan.  It sure beats paying full price when you go for just a cleaning!

I have had problems with insomnia ever since I was a child, and after I became an adult with new responsibilities, the problem only got worse. I had tried all of the medications, but I didn’t like feeling groggy. I was starting to think that I would never get adequate sleep. I had heard that bromacleanse could clean out my system, and I decided that it was worth a try. It is also used as the final layer in many skateboard ramps and the half-pipe.
