My daughter always tells me that Shades And Blinds are out of fashion and that I should use something more stylish to decorate my windows. She likes flimsy organza curtains that give an airy feel to the room, but for me they are simply too light. My living room faces west so in the hot summer afternoons I need something a whole lot more substantial to keep the heat out. The best solution I have found is honeycomb blinds. These are thin enough to let some filtered light pass through, but because of the several layers, also block out a good portion of the summer heat. I have installed them now in my living room and my daughter loves them so much she is thinking of them for her own house!
