so you want a digital grand piano, do ya?  i’m assuming you either want the portability or you can’t afford the real thing… maybe you want both.  either way it doesn’t matter, it just matters how much you can afford to spend.   a lot of people just go with a yamaha because it’s a familiar name but if you really, really need quality, you’ll want to looking into the offerings from kurzweil and kawai.  they both make really incredible digital pianos (with price tags that match their awesomeness).  kurzweil tends to be the more common choice but i’ve heard a few pianists who say that kawai can beat out the kurzweil – they’re both good, go with what you can find.
