While working with New Tribe Missions, I was able to go and help the people of Haiti when the earthquake struck. It was the most devastating thing that I have ever seen. Haiti has always been a place with precious little, and in one swipe that was all taken away. While on the mission, we provided first aid to those that needed it and helped them with food and fresh water while we planted crops and worked with the tribal people teaching them to read and write in their native language. Although they are still not doing well, I feel empowered that I was able to help at all.
