As a veterinarian for over 12 years there is nothing I hate to see more than a neglected pet. When I see animals that aren’t bathed or given proper food it just drives me crazy. In my practice I’ve seen Mange On Dogs, which is one of the worst sights, fleas, hot spots and everything in between. 

I’m a rescue dog owner and it just breaks my heart to go to the shelters and see these wonderful animals, all starving for a home. I wish I could take them all with me but that’s not practical so the best I can do it volunteer once at week to make sure the dogs and cats are getting whatever medical treatment I can give. Maybe if I can keep them healthy someone who truly cares will adopt them.
