Mexican prints exhibition at the British Museum
February 16, 2010 1:26 pm ReferenceUntil the 5th April, visitors to the British Museum will be able to admire a selection of fine prints that are associated with the Mexican revolution at the beginning of the 20th Century. The exhibition is being billed as the first in Europe to focus on the ‘great age of Mexican printmaking’ at the beginning of the 1900s. The artworks themselves are intriguing pieces of history in their own right, having been used by the government to promote the revolution, which took place from 1910 to 1920, to the people. Over forty artists contributed to the 130 works of art on show.
