If you are a keen angler I would definitely recommend checking out the lake taupo fishing co. I dealt with them last time I was down there and they were extremely helpful. I’m sure the guys don’t give away their favorite secret spots but they are certainly happy to suggest a few places to try throwing a line in. They were also great when it came to helping me out with the sort of gear I would need. I just had a pretty generic fishing rod so that sorted me out with some gear that would give me a better chance of landing some decent fish.
