Not many people know that Nelson Mandela once owned a home in Alexandra in Johannesburg, South Africa.  I brought this to the attention of my fiancé when I picked him up from the airport in our hired car rental.  I met my fiancé whilst touring London, and although neither of us was looking for a relationship at the time, fate played its part.  We decided to come back to South Africa for the wedding and then go back to London and start looking for a place to stay.  My fiancé is so intrigued with South African history, and although this isn’t his birth country, he says it feels like home.
